Callie Gallagher was the daughter of a circus owner Patrick Gallagher, and was a friend of the newly turned vampire, Stefan Salvatore.
Biography[]
Callie first encountered Stefan in New Orleans, where she soon befriended him as Stefan gained a job at the circus where her father worked. After her father learned that Stefan and Damon were vampires and imprisoned by placing vervain in their drinks. Callie helped Stefan and Damon escape from their imprisonment by starting a fire in the circus tent. However, Damon noticed that she meant something to Stefan, so Damon secretly fed her his blood and then stabbed her with a knife since Stefan would refuse to turn her into a vampire. After he prevented Stefan from feeding her his blood and fled, both Lexi and her friend Buxton tried to save her, but unfortunately she tragically died and would later become a vampire.
After succeeding her transition, Lexi and Buxton took care of Callie and made sure that she learned how to control her bloodlust. As a vampire, Callie learned how to keep her humanity on rather than turning it off. In 1922, Callie and Lexi found Stefan again in April when he was off the rails terrorizing and killing innocent people.
